Mansion on Sutter

I had the best stay at the Mansion on Sutter. The hotel is in a perfect location — central but quiet and safe, which made it incredibly convenient and relaxing. My room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, making it a perfect place to unwind. What truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional staff — everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome and taken care of. I’d absolutely stay here again anytime and highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice looking and clean the hotel is. My room was super clean and cute. The staff was very friendly when I got there and gave me a little tour of the place and my room. And then in the morning there was complimentary and Amanda was very friendly and offered to make me a latte to have with the food. I will definitely be staying again.

They recently good bought by a new owner and they are a bit in the transformation phase. However the staff especially Krish is doing an outstanding job. Very helpful and friendly at any time. The hotel is one of the oldest in SF and if you like a bit nostalgic family friendly hotel with it’s on parking place, you should at least check it out.

Absolutely loved my stay at Neighbourgood Sutter Mansion! The building is stunning, the room was spotless and super comfy, I felt right at home. Great location too—close to everything but still peaceful. Would 100% stay here again!

This is a beautiful hotel, and our concierge Amanda was wonderful. I travel to SF a lot to see family and prefer to stay at hotels, and I will absolutely be back to this one. BTW, the hot water was hot right away! I spent 5 minutes hanging around waiting for the water to heat up at another property in the city last month. I am very familiar with DDR Hospitality's other properties, and hopeful they can spend a bit of money making some light upgrades that will take this hotel to the next level. Thank you Amanda, you were awesome!

I recently stayed at The Mansion on Sutter during my visit to San Francisco, and it was truly a beautiful experience. I stayed in The Juliet Room, which was elegant, comfortable, and full of charm. The service throughout my stay was excellent, everything felt thoughtful and top-notch. The front desk was absolutely exquisite, and I want to give a special shoutout to Amanda. She was incredibly helpful and so trustworthy. I really appreciated her kindness and professionalism. She made me feel right at home. I definitely plan to stay here again on my next trip to the city. I loved the staff, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail. Highly recommend!

We wanted to stay in a place that felt very true to the character of San Francisco, as opposed to a sterile hotel that you could find anywhere, and I'm so glad we found Mansion on Sutter. From the moment we stepped inside, we were dazzled by how beautiful, historic, and well-maintained the interior was. You could tell it was the original wood, detailing, and structural integrity. Even the brass key to our room was Victorian and on brand. Our room was STUNNING, and had everything we needed. The staff were SO attentive- even opening the door for us every time we walked in or out. Anything we needed - they gave us x 10. The location was great- I felt really safe and it was central to everything we wanted to do. The gym was quaint- didn't have any heavy weights, but still had some equipment that made it easier to stay fit on vacation. Overall, it felt like staying at a super rich friend's home. This is the only place we will stay when we come back.
